Description
This item is a letter sent from Franklin Smoke, a Paris lawyer, to George Foster and Sons from March 5, 1903. Mr. Smoke writes on J. H. Adam's behalf, saying that he will be able to settle his finances with George Foster once he has dealt with his creditors.

George Foster and Sons was a Wholesale Grocery business initially located at 143 Colborne Street before relocating to a larger building at 251 Colborne Street on the historic South Side of Brantford.

Dear Sirs:- Re - J.H. Adams

In reply to yours of 4th instant I beg to say that Mr.

Adams has had some difficulty in arranging with all of his creditors

but he assures me now that he has about completed with them and that

he hopes to be able to make settlements on a very short time.
