Description
This item is a letter sent from Thomas McCosh, a Paris merchant, to George Foster and Sons dated January 10, 1903. After enclosing his orders, Mr. McCosh writes that a client requests tea since the previous delivery he received was not as good as previous orders. Both W.R. Baker and N. Deaton paid McCosh, and McCosh plans to drive to Harrisburg and Elora for Monday. He also requests George Foster to send D.M. Call an order of Japanese paper napkins.

George Foster and Sons was a Wholesale Grocery business initially located at 143 Colborne Street before relocating to a larger building at 251 Colborne Street on the historic South Side of Brantford.

M George Foster + Sons

Brantford

Gentlemen,

Herewith enclosed

please find orders. Send

[illegible] a good bill tea at

38c he thinks the last he got was

not as good as he [used] is got.

W.R. Baker paid me forty dollars

($40.00) on a/c. N. Deaton Ayr paid

fifteen dollars ($15.00) on a/c. I will

drive to [Harrisburg] and go to Elora

on Monday morning. Be good [enough]

to send with D.M. Calls' order a

packet of Japan paper napkins.
