Description
This item is a letter sent from Thomas McCosh, a Paris merchant, to George Foster and Sons dated June 3, 1901. After enclosing orders, Mr. McCosh writes the payment progress of several orders, including a $40 payment. He also was paid by Mr. Thurman but the later had not made many successful sales recently.
Notes
George Foster and Sons was a Wholesale Grocery business initially located at 143 Colborne Street before relocating to a larger building at 251 Colborne Street on the historic South Side of Brantford.

Brantford

Gentlemen,

Herewith

enclosed please find

orders. Geo. Thurman [illegible]

paid me [over] of his last

bill but could not sell them

anything. W. [Barnes Jameson]

paid me an a/c forty dollars

($40.00) will do what I can

here in the morning when

driving to [Wingham W. Coach]

noon then for [Kineaden].
