Description
This item is a letter sent from J.E. Smith, a merchant from Kelvin, to George Foster and Sons on September 3, 1904. Mr. Smith places an order for nine sacks of sugar, plus paint jars and other goods. He specifically asks for the delivery as soon as possible, since he has run out of sugar.

George Foster and Sons was a Wholesale Grocery business initially located at 143 Colborne Street before relocating to a larger building at 251 Colborne Street on the historic South Side of Brantford.
