Description
This item is a letter sent from Robert Harbottle, a merchant from Burford, to George Foster and Sons on August 6, 1904. Mr. Harbottle encloses $20 that he wants acknowledged by receipt that he expected earlier in the week. He also adds further billing information about how much he owes George Foster and how much they owe him. Mr. Harbottle also writes that either John or his wife to pay them more, while mentioning several other goods that he notes he was overcharged for, including eggs and chocolate.

Burford 6.8.1904. To George Foster and Sons

Dear Sirs, I enclose you Twenty dollars

($20) Please acknowledge by receipt.

Send my July bill. I expected it earlier

this week. Or I give these credits

1 c/o [whites] returned [illegible]

over charged on Keen's Mustard on

eggs with tea, on [illegible]

receipts for $50, $39 (July 23rd), and $35.50 (July 30th).

A discount,

and I expect John or my wife to pay

you more today when receipt fully

on the account.

Also I return [illegible] chocolates for 3$

my wife expected only 1 doz 1/2 tea 2 1.20

overcharge on July 30th. Bill billed.

12th May 25c Bbl 1/2 [illegible] 4.20

2 a credit 14.76 what the

pay you today for July 1904 bill
