Dear Billie,
Did you receive my last letter because
those things you sent us were simply splendid and we
thank you very much.
You will be sorry to hear that
Vera as had a slight attack of measles and she
is almost better as she got up today but is not
able to mix with us. We are all away from school
now in quarantine and shall be for at least
another fortnight as measles is all over the village
and there are 101 children away from school.
This morning when Vera got up someone found
spots on one of the little boys and now we think
he has started.
We have had some funny weather
over here. One day it was snowing and thundering and lightening at the same time, after that we

had some very fine days and was nice to be
away from school. But now we are having nasty
wet mist and hardly fit to be out of doors.
This year we have started to have little services on
the last Sunday afternoon in every month
and the lady who comes came this afternoon
and we had quite a nice little service.
When we go back to school
after this illness I shall only have another
2-3 weeks to go as I am leaving at the
end of March and shall do work in the
Orphanage, but I really do not want to
leave school yet.
Do you remember Madge Lilly
(my friend) if you do she is going to write
to you. Not long ago she asked
me for your address and I told her what I
thought it was. and she wrote to this place...
