Letter to William Clarke from Eveline Hills of National Children’s Home and Orphanage

This item is a letter sent to William Clarke, a teenage English boy who had been living in Paris, Ontario for two years, from Eveline Hills, representing the National Children’s Home and Orphanage's Immigration Branch in Hamilton. The contents of this letter regard William's request for a trip to visit his home in the 'Old Country.' As he was still under the guardianship of the Home and only 16 years old, his request was denied. He was encouraged instead to remain for another year and see what work is being offered by Mr. Brooks. The item also came with an envelope.
