Description
This item is a letter sent from Thomas McCosh, a Paris merchant, to George Foster and Sons on January 9, 1902. Mr. McCosh writes that one of his clients had gone out of business and that he will hopefully be able to pick 'Oriental salmon' for another client.
Notes
George Foster and Sons was a Wholesale Grocery business initially located at 143 Colborne Street before relocating to a larger building at 251 Colborne Street on the historic South Side of Brantford.

Mess Geo Foster and Sons

Brantford

Gentlemen,

Herewith enclosed please

find orders. G.C. [Gipling] has sold own

his business here and the new prime

is now [impossible]. I could do nothing

with them they had just ordered after

[thing] they wanted on Monday. PS Dean

paid me amt of one [illegible]. What

about Oriental salmon, Dean ordered

four cases but has had no word of them.

Be good enough [what] one know if you

[call] them soon, I will send in [morning]

and statement of collections on Saturday morning.
