- This July 20, 1993 article in the Burford Times describes the various events and activities that took place to celebrate Burford's bicentennial anniversary, attended by an estimated 6000 people. Events included fireworks, a games night, a parade, Hungarian dancers, an air show, a historical play, barbecues, the unveiling of a plaque, and heritage tours.
