- This July 15, 1992 article from the Burford Times describes Canada 125 celebrations that occurred in Princeton.
Events for the celebrations included a memorial for C.H. MacMcAnsh, during which a memorial cairn (constructed by Norm Laurie, Verne Rumble, Glen Hunter, Colin Graham, Bill de Koning, Al Van De Cappelle, Roger Van De Cappelle, Reg Butcher, Ted De Waal, and Roger Van De Cappelle) and a flag was raised by Jim Madill.
Optimist Club summer draw prize winners were announced, including Pamela Creighton, Brian Gowdy, B. Bradford, Gary Ficzere, and Kim King. Prizes were donated by Carmen McLellen, and other Optimist Club members.
Citizen of the year was Pat De Waal for her community volunteer work.
Ryan and Sheri McDougall and Mary Marchington won Cow-Chips Checkers.
Jamie Laurie and Linda Riddel won the Great Canadian Log Race.
Fred Baldwin won a children's mountain bike.
Bailey Lanlois won a pair of in-line roller blades.
Sandra Ryan won Ms. Princeton 1992 and Lucy DaSilva was runner-up.
