Parts of this headstone at Old Paris Cemetery are illegible. According to Internment.net, James Conklin passed away on August 23rd, 1847. He was a native of New York State. Isabella (maiden name Davidson) his wife, passed away on February 29th 1864 at the age of 54. She was a native of Roxburghshire, Scotland. They had children, John Elias and Elizabeth, who passed away as infants, but no dates are given on the headstone. James Davidson, son of Thomas and Sarah Conklin, passed away on May 25th, 1865 at the age of 10 months.

Old Paris Cemetery is an inactive cemetery in Brant County, under the jurisdiction of the Corporation of the County of Brant. It is located on the south side of Church Street in Paris soon after turning off Dundas Street West (Highway #2).
