- John Irwin was born in Monarchy Ireland and passed away in Paris at the age of 56 on September 4th, 1861. Mary (maiden name Qua), his wife, was born in Armagh Ireland and passed away on August 5th, 1867 at the age of 57. Mary was likely related to Samuel Qua, who is also buried in the Old Paris Cemetery. Margaret (maiden name Stinson), possibly John's mother, was born in Arthur Bog Ireland. She passed away at the age of 91 in Paris on January 3rd, 1857. They are buried at Old Paris Cemetery.

- Old Paris Cemetery is an inactive cemetery in Brant County, under the jurisdiction of the Corporation of the County of Brant. It is located on the south side of Church Street in Paris soon after turning off Dundas Street West (Highway #2).
