CONTRIBUTORS J ohn Bemrose is a Toronto-based writer who grew up in Paris. The town inspired the setting for his first novel, The Island Walkers, as well as for his current project, the story of a soldier's return from the trenches of WWI. ynn C. Bilton was born and raised in Haldimand County. Her mother's stories of growing up in Onondaga assured a lifelong connection to the area. Lynn currently lives in Peterborough County. She is genuinely enjoying her employment as a librarian with Trent Hills Library. Historical fiction is her favourite genre. athryn Carter was born and grew up on the Mile Hill in Paris and loved it so much she returned in 2000. She lives in a historical home on Grand River Street that she loves because of its connection to Paris history. Her daughters do not love it as much when there is a bat in the house or when they hear mice in the walls. Her cat is no help. L K S hell Cline is a writer on good days. Her great-great grandfather was born in Brant County in 1854 and made a living as a beekeeper and barrel builder--these are tied for her second and third career options. She is really happy to be part of this anthology. A 99-year-old Paris resident named Jean will hopefully be proud. 51
