Brantford, Ont.

Sunday Oct. 28/45

Dear Friend:

Received your

nice, long letter and was so

glad to hear from you.

Well, how is the weather

up there this week? This

last week the weather here

has been very cold here and

we also had lots of rain.

To-day it is sunshining, and

a little milder, and I am so

glad, for I don't like the cold

weather.

I am so glad Miss Davis

had such a nice wedding- now

Page 2

isn't that just fine. Also

glad she received so many

nice wedding gifts, I am

sure that would make her

feel very happy. I do hope and

trust she has a, "Very Happy

Married Life". It was nice

you were able to attend the

Wedding and I am sure you

would enjoy the day very

much.

Well, how are things

going on up there? I suppose

you will be quite busy just

now at the mill, but remember

don't work too hard.

Marion came home yesterday

afternoon, for over the weekend,

Page 3

but she is going back to

Toronto early tomorrow morning.

How is you brother +

wife keeping? I hope they are

fairly well.

Well, there are a lot of

soldiers coming home now

and I guess there will be for

sometime. Every day we see

long trains go through with

just soldiers on it. I am

sure the boys will be happy

to reach home.

Well, we have been busy

here this last week, we have

been doing our house-cleaning

but it won't be long, before we

will be through.

Now, don't work too hard,

Page 4

and come down when you

can, we are always pleased

to see you.

Hope this finds you well,

and many thanks for

everything.

Sincerely,

Florence
