Description: This medal was awarded to a soldier during the Boer War, fought in South Africa from 1899 - 1902. Canada took part in the war, with 8600 volunteers.

This artifact was provided for photography by Richard Shaver from his personal collection. It can be seen on display at the Canadian Military Heritage Museum in Brantford.
