Fran-Ru
Frank and Ruth Fairbrother, hence the name "Fran-Ru", built this as a summer resort in 1946. There were a few cabins they rented out as well as the main lodge. Some say Mr. & Mrs. Walker built and sold to Fairbrothers, however they both owned it at one time. It was sold to Ruth and Charlie Towsey who sold to two couples: Mr. & Mrs. Childs and Mr. & Mrs. Ed Beliskey. Stan and Elle Kuzmikuas bought it, but Ella became very ill and the place was closed for years.
Then Ray and Louise Maccallini bought the property and opened a fine dining room in a big new addition. In January 1996, one of the two remaining cottages was gutted by fire. In 1998, the place is closed again and no one lives there.
Brian Smith has purchased this property for use as a summer home in 1999. - Date of Original
