Dunchurch Public School Class, circa 1945

I believe this picture was taken in the 1950's as I recognize students that weren't born in 1940. Front row 2nd from right - Hughie Gibson, middle row far right Carl Bell. Middle row - I think, 2nd from left Charlotte Hosick and 4th from left Virginia Hosick. Back Row 3rd from Left Dorothy Tessier. Back row, boy second from right I believe is a Moore. Come on folks, fill in the rest.

I can confirm that the 2nd from the left is my Aunt Charolotte Davis (nee Hosick) and the 4th is my mother Virginia Yade (nee Hosick). Both Mom and Aunt Charlotte have passed away now both in their 50's which is much too young. For me this is a treasure to find. Thanks so much for posting it! Regards

I just saw this school picture of your mother Virginia Hosick (Yade)

I knew your mother well when she and I were about 16 years old.

She was in Dunchurch and she worked part time in a sort of General Store there.

I vacationed there each summer for a few years and we became faithful pen pals for a few years.

She was a really bright and very fun young girl whose eyes sparkled with personality and energy.

I’m so sorry to read she has passed away as you said way too soon.

We lost touch after she moved to Kirkland Lake and life took over.

Just wanted you to know your mom was a very special person I have never forgotten.
