The Hosick and Parkdale Lumber Company Sawmill used to be located between the present Municipal Office in Dunchurch and the present Duck Rock Resort. The two men in the foreground (Tom Johnson Sr. and is brother Joe) are cutting ice for the ice house to be stored and sold in the summer. The men in the picture to the left worked at the Hosick sawmill that was located on the east side of Whitestone Lake. Some of the men in the picture include: Dave Simpson (far left), John "Dollar" Madigan (left of the sawblade), John Hosick and Tommy Dobbs (behind the pike pole), and Sam Thomson (far right)
