Emsdale (Parry Sound) This society was known as Perry society w hen organized in 1890, being named for township. In 1964 name changed to Perry-McMurrich and in 1966 to Emsdale society. A hall, grandsta nd, cattle sheds sheep pens, judges stand and race track were built at the start and Fair held the most important place in the village's life.
