CHRISTMAS CRAFTS: Christmas crafts of various shapes, sizes and materials were on display at the first annual Sundridge Horticultural Society's Christmas Exhibition and Competition. The event was held in the village's community centre on Sunday, December 11th. Shown in photo are some of the members and participants as they view just a few of the Christmas crafts. In front, Girl Guides, Onalee Webb and Terri Short, with Brownies, Jennifer Villamere and Jennifer Webb. In back, Pat Lee, junior section convener, Norma Thornborrow, the craft show's co-convener: Violet Milne, program director, and Helen Copeman, society president, viewing one of the centrepieces on display. Almaguin Staff Photo The February 20th meeting of the Sundridge Horticultural Society will be a pot-luck supper at the United Church at 6:30 p.m. Alice Hubbard will present slides on Maple Syrup Time. This will be the first meeting of 1984 and Violet Milne, program convener, has an interesting line-up of speakers for this season. The March 19th program will be Mr. Matt Volt of the Department of Fruits and Vegetables, speaking on vegetable gardens. The popular Flower and Garden Show in Toronto will be from February 22nd to 26th at the Automotive Building. Contact Helen Copeman soon if you are interested in attending this show.
