Post 1911 photo, the large building on the right is not a storage building. It is in fact the Bernard Hotel a concrete block structure replacing a wooden structure that was destroyed by fire.

The apparent warehouse is in fact the Hotel Bernard, later known as Caswells Resort Hotel. This photograph antedates the inter-war extension to the building.

MAIN STREET SUNDRIDGE LOOKING EAST ON MAIN ST. THE BERNARD HOTEL IS FIRST ON THE RIGHT. THE HOTEL APPEARS TO HOUSE A BARBER SHOP AS THE BARBER POLE IS IN SIGHT AT THE FRONT ENTRANCE. MOST OF THE VEHICALS APPEAR TO BE EARLY 1930 MODELS, WITH ONE DRIVING EAST MAKING QUITE A DUST… ON THE LEFT OF THE PHOTO TWO CARS APPEAR TO BE PULLED UP TO THE GAS PUMPS IN FRONT OF J.LANG’S GARAGE ….
