Marsden's steamboat landing was on the north side of the Magnetawan River just downstream from the swing bridge (Midlothian Road) in Ryerson Twp downstream from Burk's Falls. The log dump was further downstream at Lake Cecebe where the logs were dumped on the shore ready to be floated to the steam mills downstream near Magnetawan when the spring freshets arrived.
