- This is a black and white photograph of a group of men and women, in formal dress, standing around a sawmill. The sawmill is bordering a lake, in the foreground, in which a few logs are floating near the shore. The sawmill is a open structure, with only the wood frame and a roof, in which is visible some of the milling equipment.
Beside the sawmill, to the right of the photo, is piles of logs waiting to be cut, while to the left of the photo are piles of lumber that are finished. Most of the men and women, all in suits or dresses, are standing directly in front of the mill, close to the shore. A few people can be seen within the mill.
