The photo was taken at the South River falls South Channel below the Government Road (Mill Street). A section of the Government bridge is visible with it's distinct wooden "A" framing. The old NPJRR Water Tower on the left side of the photo is located at the south end of the R.R. Coal Shed but on the East side of the track. The newer G.T.R.R. Water Tower on the right is located on the West side of the track.
Just below the right Water Tower is the Grist Mill Weir directing water to the Grist Mill's Turbines. The Grist Mill is just out of sight on the right .
