- This is a black and white photograph of the juncture between two sides of a log house. Where the two sides of the house meet, the logs have been hewed to create an interlocking and wind-proof seal. A small opening has been cut toward the bottom of the house. There's weed growth along the bottom of the log house.

- This type of log-home construction was common to the South River area during the pioneer days.
