- Description
- This is a black and white photograph of the grist mill, Lot 3, Concession 3, Machar Twp. down the Old Mill Road, circa 1911. The mill is in the background of the photo, and it resembles a barn. It has what appears to be a stone foundation, with wood planking on the sides. A circular tower, maybe a water tower, is to the left of the mill. Another building is to the far left of the photo. In the foreground is the river that runs the mill.
- Notes
- The mill was built in the late 19th century by a Mr. Downey. It was first operated by Abraham Owen Oberholtzer in 1908.
