The front lawn of the building is not mowed or cared for. Trees are lining the back of the lodge.
Notes
William Detta Sr. built Deer Lake Lodge in the 1920s, on the land of his parent's homestead. There was eleven bedrooms, a living room, pantry and store room. The lodge was filled with men during hunting season. William's family lived at an attached house and hosted the hunters.
