Corrections & Additions:
The Grand Trunk R.R. bridge is quite visible and following the tracks to the right side of the photo, the R.R. Coal Shed and original R.R. Water Tower come into view. Further along the track and curving East,Ottawa Ave R.R. crossing, the Railway Station located on the left side of the track with the back of the King Edward Hotel and a corner of the Old Queens Hotel on the right side of the track all come into view.
Numerous houses fronting on Main street including Erb's are visible behind the Coal Shed and Water Tower.
The wooden Bridge crossing the South River on the right is the Goverment Road Bridge which was removed after the Mill Street Bridges were constructed. Just out of view on the right was the J.R. Booth Dam.
South River Lumber's Log Booms on the river are visible just above the R.R. Bridge and to left of the mill's Jack Ladder. The large smoking domed black structure behind the Jack Ladder is the Sawdust Burner. The Jack Ladder is fixed to the main saw & carriage building, which in turn is connected at right angles to the sorting shed. The boiler room & power house with their three smoke stacks are tucked in beside the main saw building.
About center and just above the roof tops of S.R.L. barns and sheds, the Temperance Hotel(Holditch) on the corner of Ottawa Ave & Broadway St. is visable
