- Description
- The Historical Society is particularly indebted to Waitstill ‘Waity’ Croswell, Joyce Crossman, Jack Crossman, Orma Quinn, Lynn Abbot Lennox, the Wellever family. Richard Moore, Norma Hill-Watt and the late John Macfie for the photos and associated descriptions.
- Notes
- The large barn and livery associated with the Croswell boarding house can be seen at the top right. It apparently could house up to 16 teams of horses. The barn contained a windmill that drove a saw on a windy day. The Croswell Brothers apparently used this to cut planks for boat building.
In this picture we see Lillie (Croswell) Neely with her grandson Roy Kennedy Ross with the Croswell barn behind.
