- In this picture from around 1908 (an enlargement), we can see the Jules Brown general store, top right. To the immediate left is the Dodge Lumber Company Headquarters; the former Milne Post Office. At the time of this picture the home had been renovated and was likely owned by Simon and Eliza Shane who shared the home with their son-in-law Heinz and daughter Gertrude (Shane) King. Behind the Shane house is the top of the large Croswell barn. To the far left is the original Croswell Boarding house. At the time of this picture, the home was owned by Charles and Phoebe Croswell.
