Business - Home & School Convention, May 6, 7, 8, It was moved by Mrs. F. Barber and sec. by Mrs. Long that our Association invest $35 to send 2 delegates to the Convention in Hamilton. Carried. There were 16 present. Mr. Shipman’s class won the Banner for the month. Following the business part of the meeting a film entitled “Three Grandmothers” was shown. This depicted the role in life that 3 Grandmothers had, one Grandmother being from Nigeria, another from Brazil and the 3rd from Western Canada. Mrs. Mitchell closed the meeting with the Home & School prayer. Refreshments were served D. Barter, rec sec Janis B. Mitchell Special Executive Meeting May 3/68 This meeting was held at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Mrs. Mitchell. It was moved by Mrs. M. Manning and sec. by Mrs. M. Draper that Mrs. V. Parker be our Council Rep. for 68 & 69. All in favour. It was decided that Mr. Dunning, Mrs. V. Parker, Mrs. F. Barber and Mrs. J. Barber be sent to the Convention Banquet May 28th. It was moved by Mrs. M. Draper & sec. by Mrs. F. Barber that we add $15 to convention expenses. All in favor. Those present were - Mrs. J. Mitchell, Mrs. M. Manning, Mrs. N. Leathen, Mrs. D. Barter, Mrs. M. Draper, Mrs. A. Bentley and Mrs. Florence Barber. Meeting adjourned at 2:15 p.m. D. Barter
