Executive Meeting April 22/68 This meeting was held at the home of Mr. Dunning. 1. Minutes of the previous executive meeting were read. 2. Reports (a)Treasurer - cash on hand $9.10. Bank Bal. $279.26. (b) Program - Feb. meeting - the visit to Ont. Durham College was very good & most informative. April annual meeting - with election of officers and a film entitled “There Grandmothers” to be shown also. Films are available from Oshawa Film Board Council free of charge, if a member of the Board. Membership fee is $2.50 per year. May - Mrs. Long said she was trying to get film “A place to Stand” & also attempt to have something on saftely in summer recreation. (c) Vice Pres. - Marie Manning - to send out special notices with slate of nominated officers & notice of annual meeting. (d) Corresponding Sec. - Mrs. Leathen - wrote a thank you letter to Mr. Wiley of the Durham College & Mrs. F. Barber re her offer. To make an annual report to Council. (e) Refreshments - Mrs. A. Bentley - got the cups & will see about a tea pot. (f) Publication & Council representative - Mrs. Parker Mar 26 - Council Workshop at Whitby, mostly on programs Apr. 23 - Bus. meeting at Oshawa - Discussion of resolutions to be brought up at convention Mrs. Parker is going to attend. May 28 - Annual Dinner meeting at 6:30 pm Guest speaker G. H. Waldrum of Dept. of Education discussing new County Board of Education. Will send 4 to dinner, 2 from Executive and 2 from membership. (g) Principles remarks - registration for Kindergarten about May 3rd. Notices to be sent out. Mrs. Long will phone Mr. Johnston for his list & check with
