General Meeting - Oct 25th, 1971 - Cloverlane School The minutes of the Sept 27th meeting were read by Mrs. M. Manning and approved. Mrs. V. Parker read the Treasurer’s Report which showed a Bank balance of $104.52 and .23 cash for a total of $104.75. Mrs. F. Barber, Corr. Sec. reported five letters written and application made to the Ontario County School Board for use of Paradise School on Nov. 27th for our Annual Bazaar. Mrs. J. Halket reported her attendance as Council Rep. to last month’s regular H. & S. Council Meeting in Oshawa with Mr. K. D. Munroe speaking on “Innovations in Education” Reports were also forthcoming from Mrs. M. Hewson Pub. Chairman, Mrs. E. Lang, Social Convener and Mrs. N. Leathen, Temporary Membership Chairman. Room School count banner went to Cloverlane with 23 points. Mr. Doble extended thanks to H. & S. Ex members for attending open house at all three schools and for arranging for refreshments at each. Mrs. D. Barter made a motion asked that that the Bazaar Committee be allowed to spend up to $60.00 for expenses incurred. Moved by Mrs. Julien, sec. by Mrs. Armstrong. Carried. Mrs. Mitchell introduced Mr. Bruce Walker & Mr. James Stirling discussing “Pupil Acceleration” in the Ontario County School System. Discussion period followed. Mrs. Barter extended a vote of thanks.
