General Meeting - Sept 27/71 The meeting opened with the singing of “O, Canada” directed by the Pres. Mrs. D. Barter. The first item of business was to nominate a new treasurer as Mrs. P. Barnes has moved to another area. Moved by Mrs. J. Mitchell, sec by Mrs. P. Croxford that Mrs. V. Parker be appointed to fill the position. Carried. Mrs. Bell, Vice-Pres. of Ontario County H & S. Assoc. Council was introduced and she graciously installed the new executive for 1971-72. The minutes of the May 31st meeting were read & approved on a motion from the secretary sec. by Mrs. J. Halket. Carried. The Treasurer’s Report was read & approved. It showed a Bank bal. of $96.80 and cash of $1.45. Mrs. J. Halket reported that Tuesday Area “C” Council Meeting speaker would be Mr. K. D. Munroe. Mrs. F. Barber, Corr. Sec. reported five letters written and one received from the graduating Cloverlane students thank-ing the H & S for pins & trophies and assistance with the graduation program. Mrs. Long (Social Convenor) thanked those responsible for donating the lunch. Mrs. Hewson, Pub. Chairman, noted their were several new pamphlets available. Mrs. Leathen, temporary membership convener took the school count and Cloverlane was highest with 24 points. Mrs. Akey introduced the new Principal for Pickering Central 1, Mr. Doble, and he in turn introduced his assistants: Mrs. P. Burns
