Moved by Mrs. Mitchell that the report be accepted as read and seconded by J. Barter. Carried. Mrs. Manning - Prog. Chairman, said Oct. meeting to be entitled “Children with learning disabilities.” Speakers to be Mr. Jim Williams, Consultant in Special Education. and also a representative from the Ont. Assc. with Learning Disabilities & and a film “Why Johnny Can’t Learn.” Vice-Pres. & Council Rep. D. Barter to attend meeting with J. Mitchell & V. Parker on Sept. 23. Speaker to be K. D. Monroe, Associate Dir. of Education for the County of Ont. speaking on county boards. Corr. Sec. - Mary Long - nothing to report. Publication - Annette Mason - announced the publications table had many free brochures on display & some with a slight charge for sale. Social Chairman, Milly Draper- thanked all those who had contributed to the refreshments. Mrs. J. Mitchell made a report on her attendance at Leadership Training Camp. Among the items on the agenda were group leadership, communications and H. & S.’s place in education today. She also expressed the desire that maybe another year others might attend. Membership & Room Rep. Mrs. F. Barber. reported on the letter sent to all residents & thanked all who had helped.
