Regular Meeting Sept. 23/68 Meeting opened with the singing of “O’Canada”. Minutes of the last meeting were read by Mrs. Barter and approved as read by Mrs. J. Mitchell. Treasurers Report - Bank balance 85.12, cash on hand $7.14. Moved by Mrs. M. Armstrong & seconded by Mrs. M. Manning that the Treasurers’ report be accepted as read. Carried. Programs - Mrs. Long stated the Oct. meeting would be on “Changing methods of Education” with Mr. Vieren in charge. Vice-pres. - Mrs. M. manning said invitations had been sent to Clover Lane parents & Kindergarten parents. Council Rep. - Mrs. Parker said there was a meeting at Oshawa on the 24th of Sept. on Programing. Mr. Dunning - announced that there was school enrolment of 120 with 30 in Kindergarten, 26 Miss Clarke’s room, 34 in Mrs. Akeys’ & 28 in his room. He requested co-operation re interior & exterior of the school. Has asked the School Board for a glass case for trophies. It was move by Mrs. M. Long & secdonded by Mrs. M. Armstrong that we hold a fund raising bazaar on Nov. 23rd. - 2 to 5 p.m. All in favour. It was moved by Mrs. N. Leathen & seconded by M. Draper that we spend up to $45 on items for bazaar. All in favour. Mrs. F. Barber took the room count, Mrs. Akey’s room receiving the Banner.
