    Many Field area lumberjacks worked in the pine forests near this park.

    Loaded log sleds were slowed down when going down hill by using this cable and drum contraption. It was used in hilly country because of injury to lumberjacks and horses.

    Jammers were very easy to build as they only needed some cables and pulleys that were connected to logs they could cut on site. Two men could easily operate this very simple piece of equipment powere
