CHRETIEN, Madeleine (nee Chevrier) -

Passed away peacefully, on Monday October 31, 2005, surrounded by the love of her children. Left to treasure her memory, her wonderful spirit and the sound of her laughter are her children Denise (Art Denomme, Val Caron), Diane (Jim Couchie, Duchesnay), Don (Julie Cochrane, Newmarket), Michele (Michael Smith, Barrie) and Paulette (Michael Shank, Temiscaming). Adored grandmother of Adam Denomme, Devin and Tessa Rae Shank, Treana Couchie Chretien and Julien Chretien. Sister of Val Chevrier (Toronto), Andrew Couchie (North Bay) and foster brother, Raoul "Peter" Boire (formerly of North Bay). Cherished Auntie Madeleine to Florence and Leo Olmstead (Sturgeon Falls), Cathy Metcalfe (North Bay), Don and Carol Couchie and many other beloved nieces and nephews. Fondly remembered by Raymond Chretien and Annette (Larivier) Chretien, Dan and Grace Chretien, Annette (Beaudry) Chretien, Therese Gravelle and Marie and Roma Chevrier. Predeceased by her parents Louis and Margaret Chevrier, foster parents, Jeanne and Donat Boire, brothers Don and Martin Chevrier, Fred and William Couchie, and sister Edna (Couchie) Lewis. Family receiving friends at the McGUINTY FUNERAL HOME Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church Friday at 10:30 a.m. Interment Duchesnay Cemetery. Donations can be made to th Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
