ROY, Louise Mary — Passed away at Parry Sound, Ontario, Thursday, May 26th, 2005 in her 100th year. Louise was born in North Tay, New Brunswick, February 11th, 1906 to James and Margaret Gourley. She is survived by her daughters Joan Biasucci; Sister Kathleen Roy CSJ both of Sudbury; Betty Courneene of Sault Ste Marie; Adrienne Ethen of Hong Kong; Frances Secord of Elliot Lake; and Louise Sunstrum of Calgary; and her sons the eldest, the late Onzie; Andre of Chelmsford; Robert of Barrie; Gourley of Toronto. Louise was predeceased by her loving husband Onzie in 1990. Lovingly remembered by her many grandchildren and greatgrandchildren. During the early years, Louise taught school in New Brunswick. She also worked as a secretary. Along with her husband she operated a General Store in Britt from 1933-1973 and did some supply teaching and Catechetical Instruction at the Britt Public School. She was an artist, a Church Lector, Play; Director, Women's Advocate, President of the CWL and the Britt Senior Citizen Group. She also enjoyed gardening and creative writing. Louise will be remembered for her deep faith, love of family and the special spark and joy of life which she radiated. Visiting will take place on Sunday, May 29th, 2005 at the Holy Family Church, Britt from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Church on Monday, May 30th at 2 p.m. Interment Holy Family Church Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations to Holy Family Church or charity of your choice would be appreciated.
