BLAIS, Gisèle (1952-2005). Passed away at the West Nipissing General Hospital on Sunday, May 8, 2005 in her 53rd year. Gisèle was the beloved mother of Chantale and the dear grandmother of Melissa and Amanda. Predeceased by her parents Lucien and Jeanne Blais, a brother Gaëtan, and a sister Jocelyne Paquette (Bob). Beloved sister of Gabriel (Leyda) and Donald (Madeleine) of Sturgeon Falls, Jeannine Hammill (Bill) and Denis of Ottawa, Pauline (Clement Laforest) of Val-des-Monts, QC, Bernard (Barbara) of Iqaluit, Nunavut and Richard (Debbie) of St. John, New Brunswick. Reverend Gérald Lajeunesse celebrated the funeral service at the Resurrection Church at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 12, 2005. The pallbearers were Georges Laplante, Florian St-Aubin, Marcel Bizier, Ron Blais, Gérald Leblanc and Joe Poirier. The family would like to extend its most sincere gratitude to their two sisters-in-law, Leyda and Thérèse for their compassionate care, the nursing staff at the West Nipissing General Hospital, the Knights of Columbus, Council 2566 (Sacre-Coeur) and Council 12169 (Resurrection), the Daughters of Isabelle, family doctor Dr. Susan Parsons, Dr. Bui and Dr. Pritchard, Reverend Gérald Lajeunesse and the church choir, and all our relatives and friends. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be gratefully appreciated in memory of Gisèle. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Théorêt Funeral Home whose staff we would like to thank from the bottom of our hearts.
