TURCOTTE, Rene Sr. — 1926 - 2005 -

The family announces with great sorrow his death at Leisureworld Care Giving Centre, in North Bay on Friday, February 11th, 2005 at the age of 78 years. Loving husband of the late Marguerite Turcotte (née Snyder) who passed away December 3, 2003. Dearest father of Donald Turcotte (wife Heather) of North Bay, Sandra Doucet, Lorraine Briand,Reuben Turcotte (wife Georgina), John Turcotte (wife Sylvie), Laura-Lee Boissonneault (husband Ray), Rene Turcotte Jr. (wife Christine) and Mary St. Germain (husband Claude) all of Timmins. Grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers: Art, Eugene and his sister Mary. Survived by his sisters: Blanche, Dora and Desneiges. Also predeceased by his sons-in-law Ronald Briand and Omer Doucet Jr., his daughter-in-law Cathy Turcotte and his grandson Ronald Turcotte. Uncle to many nieces and nephews. Rene was born on November 7, 1926 in North Bay which is where he returned to about a year ago and passed away there. Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m., today, at Notre Dame de la Paix Church (formerly known as Notre Dame de Lourdes), Father Bernard Brault officiating. Remembrance donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated. The family received friends on Sunday, February 13, 2005 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home, 150 Balsam Street, South, Timmins.
