- From 1994 to 1998 the failing Field Lumber mill was mostly stopped in a bankruptcy. In 1998, it all ended with a spectacular fire which was followed by scavengers who came in daily to pick up metal and other materials that could be sold. In 2011, part of the mill is still standing.
