- 1951 log jam on the Sturgeon River at the Abitibi mill. The log jam was the J.B. Smith Co. Ltd. logs. The river discharge at that time was 20,500 cu. ft. per second.
- Notes
- This photo was taken above the Abitibi dams. Once the logs were released they floated down the Sturgeon River where they were boomed up in Lake Nipissing. Tugs towed the logs to the J.B.Smith mill in Calendar.
