Society News & Updates 2016 Lieutenant Governor's Ontario Heritage Award to Ross Wark At the 2016 Lieutenant Governor's Ontario Heritage Awards presented at Queen's Park, Toronto on Friday February 17, 2017, Ross Wark received an award for lifetime achievement. Presenting the award to Ross were Professor Thomas H.B. Symons, Chair, Ontario Heritage Trust, and Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario. Updates to the Palermo Schoolhouse Recent changes to the schoolhouse grounds include new exterior doors, flagpole relocated from the parking lot to the front of the building, and a fence separating our building from newly expanded Dundas Street. The parking lot has been expanded to accommodate more cars. More Changes St. Luke's Anglican Church, Palermo underwent major changes over the past three years. The original church was moved within the site. Administrative and meeting rooms, including kitchen and washrooms are shown centre and right. Parking and the cemetery are behind this new facility. After using the schoolhouse for one and half years, the congregation returned to the original site before Chirstmas, 2016. 2
