Description
A Biggar family album page showing Hettie with her grandchildren. Hettie had been educated at the Wesleyan Female College for young women in Hamilton, she was an accomplished musician and played for the church until forced to stop at age 98, she helped manage the successful family farm and property called Glenclare Farms, she was active in community social groups and raised a family. She lived into her 103rd year.

As to when these were taken: twins Martha and Kathryn were born about 1927 and seem to be under 2 years in the photo of them sitting on Hettie's lap, and two of the pictures show a 1956 date stamp.

Family member Jill Rutherford writes: In the two smaller photos, mid and lower right on the page, is my mother, Rilla Jane Reid. She is the daughter of Henry Cecil Reid and granddaughter of Desdamona Jane "Jennie" Munn Reid. She is 21 in this photo, taken in 1953, standing with her great auntie Hettie -- possibly at Niagara Falls where they had taken Rilla. I am not sure who they other lady is in the picture.
