Description
Hettie and her sister Jane, called Jennie, married in a double wedding ceremony at Munn's Church in 1883. Jennie married William Henry Reid and they went west to homestead in Manitoba with Mr. William Henry Spearin according to family descendents, living first in a "soddy" or sod roofed house while they got the farm established.

This is likely an engagement or wedding photograph of the two couples.
Notes
According to some internet geneology information, Jennie (and likely also her husband)is buried in the Brandon Municipal Cemetery but as of this writing, only a portion of those graves are searchable online and hers is one that is not online.
