James Arthur Colton was born in Wentworth County near the village of Aldershot, he was the son of George William Colton and Annie Teresa Cline. At age 18 he left home and travelled to Vaughan Township Ontario to work for his uncle Herbert Colton. In 1924 he purchased 150 acres just north of the village of Woodbridge Ontario. In 1928 he married Annie Porter in Toronto. James Arthur and Annie had eight children all born on this farm. The picture shown was sketched by a family friend.I am the youngest of the eight children.
