- Description
- The Young People's Group of Sheridan United Church with a newspaper clipping from the Oakville Beaver featuring Evelyn (Savage) Bullied recalling memories of Sheridan and the church. See "Pages", click on "Select" to open the clipping.
As the history of this congregation linked here explains, the Sheridan area was around the Town Line, which is now Winston Churchill Blvd., between Mississauga and Oakville, by Upper Middle Road, Ford Drive, the Queen Elizabeth Way and south to Lake Ontario. The congregation was also drawn from the east over to the Clarkson Road area. At the time of this photograph, the church was located on the south-west corner of Winston Churchill and the Queen Elizabeth Way, where it had been for over 100 years. In 1958, the building on Truscott Rd., Park Royal in Mississauga, was started. - Date Of Event
