    Each person has a number handwritten on their body. Pages 3 and 4 of this record list and identify most people. "LEFT" identifies the left side of the original photograph, "RIGHT" identifies the right side.

    The Petrie house and Magnet Inn stood at the southwest corner of Jones and Lakeshore Road, Bronte. This photograph was taken in July or August 1974 by standing across the road in front of Centriller Public School, looking east to Jones Street. Both now demolished.

    Two of the photographs were autographed by Constable Coleman. Unfortunately, his writing is illegible so we can't determine the proper spelling of his name, and we don't know why he was photographed in front of Bronte School, S.S. 13, in March 1947.
