- This house was the home of the Robert Hanham family. The farm was on Lot 10 Con 2 SDS, east of 7th Line (which is now Trafalgar Road).
Robert married Elizabeth Post in about 1829. They were living here in the 1860's. They had 3 boys and 4 girls: Charles remained on the farm, never marrying, d. 1927. Hiram married Margaret Phillips in 1876 and they moved to Port Colborne where he worked as a miller; he died in 1934. The third brother married Jane Phillips, sister of Margaret; he died in 1920. - Notes

- Robert Hanham, b. March 3, 1811 in Pilton, Somersetshire, d. August 20 1889 in Port Colborne. Married Elizabeth Post in about 1829. She was born in the United States in 1809 and came to Canada with her parents, Ephraim Post and Elizabeth (Lyon) in 1814.
